Chenille jackets
soft & warm

I'm constantly making chenille jackets as I sell them quickly at shows. These are all hand made by myself and are all one of a kind. You might see similarities in a couple as I can usually get two out of a big vintage chenille bedspread but none are identical.

These jackets are perfect for the spring or fall or even a chilly summer night. Some are heavy weight chenille and some are light weight. I wear my chenille jacket around the house when I feel a little cold, it’s better than letting the mailman catch me in my robe for a 3rd day in a row.

The measurements below are gotten by laying the jacket flat, so a 27" bust line is double that.

All these jackets are made from vintage chenille bedspreads and might have an imperfection or two. If you need specifics on any one piece, email me and I will go over it with a fine tooth comb and let you know exactly. I have more white ones coming up which will be added in about a week or 2. If you feel you need a bigger or smaller size than I have offered please contact me for availability in the design you want.

These jackets were made from a vintage white on white bedspread, possibly Cabin Craft but I'm not sure. I only show one front pic as they are both about the same except the second one has more straight line chenille at the top. They are matched as far as the design joining the sides and back. Now I'm confusing myself. They are in the medium size, modeled by a size 2 but will fit up to about a size 16. These are a little longer than normal measuring 26" from the neck line to the bottom. These both have large ball clusters on the front and back, very unusual and an elegant looking jacket. I did some minor repairs on both of them, mostly where the big balls are as they weakened the fabric a little being pierced so many times, not noticeable from the front, priced at 75.00 each.
This jacket was made from a vintage soft, slightly heavy, cream background chenille bedspread with swags of flowers. It is the same size as most of the ones below measuring 22" across with a 4" fold over and about 25" long. I was fortunate enough to get 2 lovely jackets out of this spread so the choice is yours. It has 2 side seam pockets and the fabric is in excellent condition. It is modeled by a size 2 but would fit up to about a size 16. Each is priced at 65.00 The first one is still available but the second one is sold.
This jacket was made from a vintage blue bedspread with white chenille. It is the same size as most of the ones below measuring 22" across with a 4" fold over and about 27" long, a little longer than most. It has 2 outside pockets and the fabric is in excellent condition. It is modeled by a size 2 but would fit up to about a size 16.

Priced at $65.00 on hold

This chenille jacket is peach and white, cut and uncut chenille. It measures 22" across the bust with a 4" fold over, and 24" long. This is a lighter weight jacket but very pretty. It should easily fit up to a size 16 but is modeled by a size 2.

Priced at $55.00

This jacket is made from a vintage chenille bedspread with blue swirls and yellow and pink flowers. It measures 22" across the bust line with a 4" fold over in the front. It is about 24" long. This should fit up to a size 16 but is being modeled by a size 2. .

This is a lighter weight jacket and priced at $60.00

This jacket is made from a peach pop vintage chenille bedspread with a heavier backing, probably Bates. It's in my medium size and will fit up to a size 16 but is modeled by a size 2. It's about 24 3/4" long from the neckline and has 2 outside pockets. Whenever I get this type of spread with the heavier backing I love to make jackets out of them as they are simple but stunning.

Priced at 60.00

This jacket was made from a Cabin Craft bedspread in mint green with white tufting, cut and uncut. This has a very faint small spot on the collar at the bottom. It is in my medium size and will fit up to a size 16 but is modeled by a size 2 so looks great on any size in between.

I'm pricing this one a little less due to the barely noticeable spot at 60.00

This jacket was made from a vintage white and blue tufts on blue backing Cabin Craft chenille bedspread. These bedspreads are hard to find and quite expensive when you do. It is my medium size measuring 22" across with a 4" fold over and about 24" long. It has 2 outside pockets and the fabric is in excellent condition. It is modeled by a size 2 but would fit up to about a size 16. This jacket looks great with jeans, priced at 90.00
