You won't see the lady or the man next door wearing the one you have, all one of a kind. I make a man's robe or a woman's chenille robe. You can be warm and cozy or short and sassy, whichever you prefer. You can have that vintage shabby chic look wearing these soft 100% cotton robes. I just started making the vintage look ones with the fitted waist and poofy sleeves. Robes were my first passion and will probably be my last. If you find a robe you like and are afraid it might not fit right or you aren't happy with the quality, don't worry, I will gladly refund full amount (no restocking fees). I want happy customers, I want you back. I shorten for free but if a substantial amount of the robe has to be cut off it will then be not returnable, hope you understand. A lot of thought and work goes into each individual one. I started selling pretty steady in September of 09 and it hasn't let up since. Christmas season devastated my robes. I'm working as fast as I can to get my nice selection back so please be patient, it's just this one old lady sewing.
This is a 100% cotton chenille bathrobe made from a vintage chenille bedspread. It is a med/heavy weight with a white background with soft aqua swirls and flowers on one side of the collar and a wreath of flowers on the back. This robe is made in my medium size and will easily fit up to a size 16 or so but is modeled by a size 2 who stands 5' 8" tall. I finally decided to do the original look in 1940's chenille robes due to popular demand. My problem was I couldn't find a pattern so I cut up an old one that was damaged to use as a pattern. This has the fitted waist with an inside tie, sewn on belt, one patch bow pocket and a ton of personality. I love it, too bad I look like a stuffed sausage in it, LOL. This is modeled by a size 2 who stands approximately 5' 8" tall and it looks great on her (she has a lot of fold over). It will probably fit up to a 12 which is what I am but if your a 12 like me don't go there. I would personally do the cut off at a size 10. This has a couple of issues, some scattered missing chenille (no bald spots, random) and I had a problem with the poofy sleeves and had to add a piece on the inside which you don't see as it's under your arm. I finally got my pattern cut from the vintage chenille robe I was using. I've got most of the bugs out of it and cut this beautiful peacock on a blue backing in the vintage look. It is modeled by a size 2 who stands 5' 8" tall but should fit up to about a small size 12 but probably better on a size 10. I didn't see any missing tufts or damage to the fabric.
